Scientific objectives  of plasma instruments

Two spacecraft operating at orbits around  Venus and carrying out simultaneous observations allow:

 - investigation of  the dynamics of physical processes in the Venusian magnetosphere

- study the influence of interplanetary media on atmosphere and ionosphere of Venus (monitoring of the solar wind and interplanetary magnetic  field)

Objectives:

•          Erosion of the Venusian atmosphere caused by its direct interaction with a solar wind, acceleration in the magnetic wake of Venus;

•          Dynamics of foreshock, bow shock, magnetosheath of planet ( plasma flow under mass-loading), magnetic barrier and ionopause;

•          Magnetic ropes, night ionosphere and its structure (rays, holes et etc)

•          Electromagnetic emissions of the planetary origin
